About
Plants & Animals Denver is a collective of young local vegans who are looking for new ways to positively influence our local and global communities by advocating a plant-based diet and a lifestyle free of cruelty to animals. We care about all animals (including humans), and hope to encourage others to further their knowledge about how our daily decisions impact the planet, the little beasties we share it with, and our own health.
Our Goals:
- Make Denver more animal-friendly and vegan-aware.
- Improve the lives of animals used for commerce.
- Unite a vibrant local community of vegans who support each other and seek a better world for all animals and people.
We organize all kinds of different events in Denver. Our marquee event is Chomp!, a monthly vegan dinner that takes place on the first Wednesday of each month. We also have a roving all-vegan market, Neat Market Pop-Up Vegan Shop, which takes place on the third Sunday of each month.
In addition to these events, we also do outreach, education, campaigns, and run a lending library. We could always use a hand, so if you’d like to volunteer, visit our Get Involved page for more information or contact us.
About the Blog
The front page of our website is a blog featuring commentary by P&A volunteers. We like to write about the Denver veg scene, animal rights, vegan food and recipes, current events, and random thoughts. The opinions on our blog do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Plants & Animals Denver. It is meant to be an open forum of discussion where our bloggers can share their honest opinions about vegan culture and the world we live in. We feel that uncensored commentary is important, especially when it addresses subjects that mainstream media tend to ignore. So we hope you’ll appreciate the variety of opinions you’ll find here, and join in the discussion. Thanks for reading.
